Advertising in the JAOA

Advertising Policy

All proposed display, "DO Jobs," and classified advertisements must be submitted in writing. Advertising in the JAOA is subject to the approval of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), which reserves the right to decline, withdraw, or edit for style purposes any submitted advertisements at its sole discretion.

The AOA makes appropriate and reasonable efforts to avoid mistakes. However, the AOA shall not be liable for clerical errors or printers' errors in published advertisements.

Display, "DO Jobs," and classified advertisements must not discriminate against individuals or groups on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.

The AOA does not investigate the offers or claims made by advertisers and assumes no responsibility or liability concerning them. It is the responsibility of each advertiser to comply with the laws and regulations that apply to the marketing, distribution, and sale of its products and services. The fact that the AOA has published an advertisement should not be construed as a guarantee that the advertiser has complied with such laws and regulations, nor should it be construed as an endorsement by the AOA of the company, its products or services, or the claims made for the products or services in the advertisement.
