The Table lists information regarding colleges of osteopathic medicine (COMs) in the United States. For the 2013-2014 academic year, there are 29 COMs, 4 branch campuses, and 4 additional locations. In addition, the American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (AOA COCA) has approved Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lynchburg, Virginia, to begin instruction in the 2014-2015 academic year. Extension campuses for Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dublin and Cleveland have also been approved by the AOA COCA. Instruction will begin in 2014-2015 in Dublin, and in 2015-2016 in Cleveland.
